8" frosted globes discontinued?

Help! I've been told by a lights/globes retailer that the 8" frosted globe lights have been discontinued. Does anyone know if this is accurate? They also told me that maybe the glossy globes could be frosted over? I reallyneed to find two frosted 8"ers!! Thank you!
