Modernica Cloud Ottoman Sunnyvale $100 OBO

We have a Modernica Cloud ottoman with walnut legs that is 3 years old. We paid $950 for it, all in with shipping, upgraded legs (walnut, not maple), upgraded dark brown wool boucle fabric, yadda, yadda. Never sat on it, just put a tray on it and used it as a coffee table in our living room. We're in Sunnyvale and we're looking to sell it locally.

Why are we selling it? Well, when we bought it we thought it would make a very good coffee table. That worked out pretty well, though we ultimately decided on a "real" coffee table, so we no longer have a place for it. It has also been the victim of our new family member, Nikko the Siamese cat. Nikko has claws and as luck would have it, finds boucle pretty irresistible. She hasn't totally wrecked it, but it does bear a resemblance in spots to the late great Bob Marley. Previously, we had a declawed cat, so boucle was okay.

I don't think it would cost much to re-upholster the ottoman. Ebay has fantastic deals on great Knoll fabric remnants, meaning 4-5 yards of high end, claw proof fabric perfect for a job like this. You'd need an independent upholsterer, as the ones such as Paul's Draperies and Upholstery in Sunnyvale insist you buy the fabric from them so you end up paying full retail for your fabric, plus they send out the piece to be upholstered by an independent (at an inflated price so they make a cut) meaning the job gets expensive.
