Fullerton Grove - Jones & Emmons designed homes in Fullerton

Postby ADSalvaggio53 on Tue Jul 07, 2009 9:44 pm

I am very interested in buying a home in the Fullerton neighborhood known as Fullerton Grove, and would appreciate any current information. I am aware of the history of the Tract, but do not know if there is anything being done to preserve these very early (1953) examples of Jones & Emmons modern home design.

A drive through the neighborhood would break your heart, so few of the homes have been restored. It would be a challenge, but well worth the effort to get folks interested in buying and restoring these small (1100-1400 sq ft) but affordable homes. For a little history about these homes visit: (http://www.fullertonheritage.org/Resour ... ichler.htm)

I know these homes well. all it take is a couple homes to come back to reverse a neighborhood.

I will point out, though, the information in the link you posted contains a lot of errors. The Fullerton Heritage people don't have a clue
