PLEASE READ - Additional Section to the Chatterbox
Is there a general interest out there to add another category to the Chatterbox pages to offer for sale/donate original parts.
It would be nice if we have an “Eichler swap meet” or “Eichler parts” section – allowing people to offer/donate original parts. The ability to add pictures to it would be a great addition.
It would be a very convenient way to check whether certain parts are available and a general indication of what Eichler owners still desire and what they do not longer desire. In addition, it would offer the opportunity of vendors to step in and offer the parts that are dissapearing.
Trying to save original parts from disappearing – I have been collecting various parts from neighbors who are engaged in remodeling. Garage is getting full! I know there are other Eichler owners who are doing to same.

YES! I would love to see a section like this!
I agree that having such a section of "for sale"/"wanted" would be of service to the Eichler community. It's a great way to enable the restoration/maintenance of these homes and keep items out of the landfill.
The question is the logistics. There would likely need to be some active maintenance to remove old postings (perhaps postings are automatically subject to removal after 30 days). Also, there should be some completeness of description (perhaps a posting template--likely year of origin, tract, color, size). Finally, it would probably be useful to cover in separate sections items which are "original" Eichler parts (hardware) versus items simply compatible with the Eichler aesthetic (furniture/fabrics).
