Noisy Drips Driving Wife Crazy

We need help stopping the drip noise in the roof drain pipes. The loud, hollow-sounding drip noise come right through the wall. How can anybody live with this annoying racket? I thought that maybe the roofer had done something wrong, but my drain pipes look exactly like all my neighbor's.

get a scotchbrite. cut a long strip the width of hole and long enough to reach the back of the downspout. clip to inside bottom of gutter downspout with a mini binder-clip you've stolen from work. sleep peacefully.
