How many Eichler owners does it take to change a lightbulb?

Seriously, these two (new) Eichler owners can't figure out how to unscrew the globes to replace a bulb. Is there a trick? We feel pretty silly that we can't figure this out.
Suggestions would be most appreciated - thank you in advance.

IF these are hanging globes, dont try and rotate the globe. Climb up an while supporting the globe, loosen the nut (either on the down rod or on the cable. This will loosen a rectangular locking plate inside the globe and you can slide it out. You do have to remember the hold on to the globe while doing this.
