Dear Friends,
I am so exicited because Marty has asked me to do a Question & Answer column ALA "DEAR ABBY", (just one of the many dimensions of his new CA Modern magazine). So if you have an Mid Century Modern living/lifestyle question please post it here (although you'll have to read the magazine for the answer!)
The questions may be on anything from entertaining to decorating or beyond (such as, "What's a nice hostess gift when you visit a friend's Eichler?" or "I can't afford to strip my paneling now - so what can I do make it more acceptable?" or "What kind of accessories are suitable for a Mid Century Modern couch?").
The sky's the limit folks. Just think of the things you would ask Martha Stewart if she lived in an Eichler!

We are in the process of converting a spare room into a home office that will have a drafting table. What efficient and flexible mid-century lighting would work? We were thinking of a couple of Artemide's Tolomeo clip on desk lamps but I know there must be other more creative choices. Can you offer some suggestions?
