Hi,
We live in a 50 year old eichler, in a western part of sunnyvale near los altos and cupertino- our neighborhood is made up of eichlers with a pitched roof/atrium either facing the street, or parallel to the steet, every other house.
Our model has the pitched roof parallel to the street- the atrium has beams the run straight across- in line with the flat roof portion of the house-
Our beams have dry rot and I'm wondering if the house can withstand the removal of these beams? are they structurally significant or will the house implode?!
Thanks for your thoughts,
Cyndi
In regards to the above posting, our house is a Claude Oakland style-
Thanks,
Cyndi
