Contractor contacts
I'm purchasing and Eichler home in the Rancho San Miguel neighborhood in Walnut Creek. Most of the contractors I see on the site are based in the Peninsula or Marin County. There's electrical work, a window needs replacement, and flooring throughout. I already have a roofer and siding replacement estimates. I'd appreciate any contacts in the East Bay for some of these repairs.

We are in the same boat you were in a few months ago. We have just purchased an Eichler in Castro Valley. Did you find a good flooring company? Also appreciate any other contacts you would recommend. Thanks.

We, too, purchased an Eichler in Castro Valley last August and are getting ready to do some remodeling as well as put on a new roof. In particular, we are looking for an electrician. If you want to write to me at allendale80@yahoo.com, perhaps we can share what we know.
Is this style of home really popular in Southern California? I see a lot of people on various housing forums talk about Eichler homes. I'm getting ready to begin construction on a home in the Midwest and am thinking about an Eichler home. If the housing division doesn't mind, this might be the right home design for my family.
