The Environmental Design Archives at the University of California, Berkeley is an indispensable resource for Eichler owners and those who study these houses.

As we've mentioned before, the facility holds architectural blueprints from the Eichler home plans by Claude Oakland & Associates, one of the three main architectural firms Joe Eichler used to design his unique tract homes. And as we've also mentioned, the EDA is in the midst of a fundraising drive to support its effort to get those plans sorted, filed, and indexed so they are more accessible to the public.

The goal is to raise $12,000 via the crowdfunding site Indiegogo. To date the campaign has raised $3,000. Please consider this a gentle reminder, on the archive's behalf, to consider a donation before their campaign ends December 5.
