Parks and other open spaces designed by California’s leading modernist landscape architects are the subject of tours September 17 and 18 sponsored by the Cultural Landscape Foundation.

Their ‘What’s Out There Weekend’ will visit the Kaiser Center Roof Garden in Oakland, designed by Ted Osmundson; Larry Halprin’s Levi Plaza in San Francisco; and Robert Royston’s Central Park in Santa Clara, among 25 spots, which will be manned by expert guides.
The event highlights the foundation’s ‘What’s Out There’ database of gardens, parks, and other cultural landscapes nationwide. tclf.org
