Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in CA-Modern’s 2013 ‘Best Kitchen Remodel Contest.’ To be eligible for entry, a kitchen must be in a California-based mid-century modern home and must have been remodeled within the last four years. Previous top-10 kitchens are not eligible.

To enter, please send high-res images of your kitchen (showing before and after) by December 31, 2012 and complete the following questions via e-mail: 
1. Your name, address, phone number, e-mail.
2. Style of your home (ie. Eichler, Streng, etc.)?
3. Year your home was built?
4. Square footage of your home?
5. Designer and contractor of your new kitchen?
6. Upgrades for appliances, storage, surfaces, and lighting?
7. What didn’t work in your old kitchen?
8. What were the ingredients for success? 
9. How has the renovation changed your life? 

Entries, photos, and your vital information should be sent to CA-Modern home-improvement writer Tanja Kern and publisher Marty Arbunich.

CA-Modern staff will select 10 kitchen projects from entries and feature all of them in the Spring/April 2013 issue of CA-Modern magazine and on the Eichler Network web site. Two finalists will appear in the Fall/October 2013 CA-Modern.
